10th HLRS/hww Workshop on Scalable Global Parallel File Systems

May 2nd - May 4th, 2011

The High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart, HLRS ,
and the Höchstleistungsrechner für Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft GmbH, hww , are organizing the three-day

10th HLRS/hww Workshop on Scalable Global Parallel File Systems
"Autonomous Storage Systems"

at HLRS.

This workshop will be joined by the
High Performance Networking Forum (HNF) Europe Spring Meeting 2011,
as well as the
OpenFabrics Alliance European User Group Meeting 2011.

The workshop is to take place in Stuttgart, Germany, on
Monday - Wednesday, May 2nd - 4th, 2011

This year's workshop will try and present the major issues and developments associated with the convergence of fabrics, protocols, systems and applications in the computing center, enabling a rich portfolio of distributed storage solutions, like
Autonomous Storage Systems
managing objects autonomously e.g. according to pre-negotiated Service Level Agreements and cost as well as security and safety constraints.

On Tuesday night, we plan for a joyful Reception and Dinner after visiting one of the most interesting places in the Stuttgart area. Admission to the workshop is free, as are the meals at the conference site. Depending on our overall sponsoring situation, we might need to ask for a small cost contribution for the dinner invitation.
