The contract is, in accordance with German law (HRG) and will be issued on a yearly basis. The salary is in accordance with the TV-L.

Task

As member of the group “Applications, Models & Tools” you will work on international research projects. The group focuses on developing tools for new programming models as well as on computer based solutions of scientific problems.

Profile

A prerequisite is a university degree (master/diploma) in a natural science, engineering, mathematics or computer science.
Important criteria for the position are:

• Ability to conduct independent, scientific work
• Expertise in C, C++ or Fortran90
• Expertise in parallel programming and interest in high-performance computing

A good command of English, the ability to work in a team and the readiness to travel is expected.
