Vacancy Scientific Employee

We are seeking applications for a vacancy in the research group Scalable Programming Models and Tools. As a member of the group you will be working in international research projects on topics such as new concepts for parallel programming tools and concurrent runtime systems.

The position is suitable for PhD thesis work. The contract will be issued in accordance with the regulations of the Hochschulrahmengesetz (HRG) and will be issued on a yearly basis.

Your profile

A prerequisite is a university degree (master/diploma) in a natural science, engineering, mathematics or computer science.

Important criteria for the position are:

• Ability to conduct independent, scientific work
• Expertise in C, C++ or Fortran90
• Expertise in parallel programming and interest in high-performance computing

Additional relevant skills for the position are:

• Expertise in mathematical graph-theory
• Experience with MPI one-sided communication

A good command of English, the ability to work in a team and the readiness to travel is expected.
