Objective

IMeMo is a national research project which faces challanges and oportunities of upcoming HPC systems with respect to their use in the field of molecular simulati

  • optimizations for massively parallel many core systems using a hybrid MPI/OpenMP approach
  • new load balancing strategies
  • investigation of the PGAS programming model for molecular simulation
  • development of new physical models and algorithms
  • study of new hardware platforms like Cell BE, ... and their impact on molecular simulation applications
