Video Streaming

The Visualization department offers the service to record and stream events over the internet. The video is encoded with Windows Media Encoder and broadcasted by a Windows Media Server. The events manager receives a link to the internet page where the multimedia object is integrated.

 

While the server is located at the university, it is possible to send the encoded stream from outside. In 2008 we successfully broadcasted an event from the Mercedes Benz Museum. By utilizing the multistream capability we can provide mobile phone users with low bitrate streams. So you can watch the courses of the children's university in the backyard.
