Eligible are applications from publicly funded academic and research institutions in Germany that might have project partners from Europe. For European consortia the application procedure is via PRACE.
- Allocations free of costs for projects requiring 40 million core hours or more on Hermit by answering the "Call for Large-Scale Projects" of the Gauss Center for Supercomputing.
(The current call has been closed on February 29th, 2012
the next call is expected to open in July 2012) - Allocations free of costs for projects requesting less than 40 million core hours on Hermit after submission of a proposal and a review procedure through the HLRS Steering Committee.
- For testing before submitting a proposal one can get a test account.
