BonFIRE

BonFIRE (Building service testbeds for Future Internet Research and Experimentation) designed, built up and operates a multi-site cloud facility to support applications, services and systems research targeting the Internet of Services community within the Future Internet. BonFIRE aims to give researchers access to an experimental facility which enables large scale experimentation of their complex applications and systems, the evaluation of cross-cutting effects of converged service and network infrastructures and the assessment of socio-economic as well as non-technological impact.

In particular, the BonFIRE Open Access initiative offers experimentation, support and testing of innovative scenarios to the Internet of Services research community.

Key Functions:

  • Converged service and network experimentation for Internet of Services research community
  • Innovative methods for managing the lifecycle of experiments deployed on federated Clouds
  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service facility delivery model
