The High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) is the first national supercomputing center in Germany. Currently hosting the number 9 supercomputing system world-wide, it offers services and support in the area of High Performance Computing to users from academia, research and industry. Additionally, HLRS is one of the world leading institutions in the research fields of supercomputing, grids and cloud computing and participates in the cluster of excellence on simulation technologies. HLRS is heavily active in research on new technologies and solutions in national and international projects, participating in a high number of funded research activities.

Researcher for Dissemination and Communication Development

The contracts are restricted according to German law. The possibility to work on a PhD thesis in this position can be elaborated. Remuneration is based on the TV-L statutory salary scale and its associated public sector benefits.

Your responsibilities:

  • Create and edit project websites
  • Design and maintain social media presence of our projects, increasing the number of followers
  • Author content for press releases, articles and keynote presentations
  • Design digital and print PR materials (logos, banners, brochures, posters, short videos, etc.)
  • Brainstorm new and creative dissemination and communication strategies

Candidates need to have:

  • Experience in scientific writing in areas related to engineering and/or high performance computing
  • Proven knowledge and experience in scientific writing and development of communication strategies
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Interest in IT-Technology
  • A strong focus on proactivity, creativity, positive solutions and continuous improvement
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills in both German and English

Ideal candidates additionally have:

  • Proven working experience in public relations and digital marketing
  • A portfolio of existing media relationships and networks
  • A university degree in a related field
