This information half-day is targeted towards decision makers in companies that would like to learn more about the advantages of using high performance computers in their field of business. They will be given extensive information about the properties and the capabilities of the computers as well as access methods and security aspects. In addition we present our comprehensive service offering - ranging from individual consulting via training courses to visualization. Real world examples will finally allow an interesting insight into our current activities.

- Consulting by SICOS BW. The Sicos BW GmbH was founded by the computing centers of the University of Stuttgart (High Performance Computing Center) and the KIT (Steinbuch Center for Computing). They are supported by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
HLRS is part of the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS), which is one of the six PRACE Advanced Training Centres (PATCs) that started in Feb. 2012. The mandate for the PATCs is as follows: "The PRACE Advanced Training Centres will serve as European hubs of advanced, world-class training for researchers working in the computational sciences." (see D3.2.3)
This course is a PATC course, see also the PRACE Training Portal and Events. For participants from public research institutions in PRACE countries, the course fee is sponsored through the PRACE PATC program.
