The workshop agenda will be provided as soon as it is available
On Tuesday night, we plan for a joyful Reception and Dinner after visiting one of Stuttgart’s most interesting places. Admission to the workshop is free, as are the meals at the conference site. Depending on our overall sponsoring situation, we might need to ask for a small cost contribution for the dinner invitation.
This year's workshop will try and present the major issues and developments associated with the evolution of global parallel file systems and high performance data storage in the Post-Moore era where the increase of compute power becomes somehow limited. Will we experience similar issues in I/O and persistent storage as we see it in processor technology? In the same time, the convergence of HPC, big data analytics and (deep) machine learning imposes further challenges to the I/O and data storage systems. Do we have new ideas, technology break throughs or disruptive approaches to address the upcoming challenges or do we run into a time of
Post-Moore I/O?
