Dr.-Ing. Johannes Gebert

Research Scientist

Johannes Gebert is the deputy director at the Institute for High-Performance Computing (IHR) at the University of Stuttgart and leads its Future Computing Group.

His research at the IHR and the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) is supported by 10 years of experience as a design, structural, and software engineer, bridging the gap between domain specialists and high-performance computing (HPC). He completed his PhD on a novel biomechanical method for HPC systems, graduating summa cum laude. A research visit to the Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL) of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), also strengthened his background in HPC. Several lectures and a Future Computing Lab foster young talents in undergraduate and graduate studies. Johannes is an Early Career Editorial Board Member for Advances in Engineering Software.
