Matvey Fridman is the manager for two S+T+ARTS projects HLRS is involved in: AIR and EC(H)O. He is working on the definition of the AIR Foundations and Regional Hubs, coordinating the open calls for artists, and communicating with partner institutions. Furthermore he is working on the open calls for the FFplus project.

As a trained media computer scientist (B.Sc.) and film/television engineer (M.Eng.) Matvey has experience as a freelance media technician, cinematographer, and lighting technician, and his interests lie in the interface of art and technology. Previously, he worked at the Stuttgart Media University as an academic assistant in the Audiovisual Media program, where he took on various tasks in the areas of project organisation and teaching.
